I'm wishing we'd gone with BLW. Sienna is great with purée, but as soon as there's lumps, she gags and won't eat. I'm so freaked out she'll choke, I've been overly cautious about what she's eating, and now she just doesn't like lumps

Good to hear from you Rainbow! Was wondering how you were! Toby is one gorgeous chap. Great he loves his food. Sounds like you're both going really well.

I always wanted to do full BLW but during the process ended up with some spoon feeding too. So usually Meadow has finger foods on her high chair tray and a bit of puree too, but not always. Lunch is normally just toast and avocado with bits of cucumber or tomato. Or similar. Much easier as it's stuff we eat too and I can leave her to get on with it while I see to Toby and make my lunch as well.

Meadow is actually sick atm. Suddenly started crying a little while ago and very unhappy, not able to console or distract her. Managed to get some paracetamol down her then she fell asleep on my shoulder even though she'd not long been up from her nap. So looks like I have a sick child again! Not sure what's wrong, she doesn't feel hot and not vomiting or anything. Just hope she's brighter when she wakes up! Can't put her down or sit down for long cuddling her or she starts writhing around and crying.

There is a book called baby led weaning by gill rapley (sp?) which is used world wide. Your library may have it if you're interested in learning about it or loads of online information.

The "having a cuppa" photos are gorgeous! I am a BIG tea-drinker, and Oscar also likes his cup of tea. My Grandma taught him to say "Ahhh...just what I needed!".

Here is Lucy this morning in her "hoodie"...
