    Default Love Child

Just wondering if anyone watched Love Child on Channel 9 last night?

I have just watched it online and it breaks my heart as a Mum and also as an adoptee.

Oops, I didn't know it had started!

What did you think of it - worth a watch?

I watched it and thought the same thing, how could they do that to so many women back then and not realize how cruel and traumatizing it is is beyond me. God that doctor made me angry trying to examine that poor girl with a bunch of male doctors. It's a great show if I already hate some of the characters lol. People were very judgmental back then and harsh The nice nurse is my favorite and was cast perfectly

I think it is pretty good.

I don't think I will watch more of it just because it feels very close to home.

I guess it gives me more understanding why a good number of adoptees and first mothers who are older than me campagin against adoption.

Grr and I hate that spell check adopters is a word but adoptees isn't.

It was heart breaking! Going through pregnancy & labour & then her baby was immediately whisked away. How on earth did those mothers cope?

I missed a bit. Did all the mothers willingly sign their children away? Also who was the lady at the end with the doctor?

The mother did not appear to sign anything at all!

I took the lady at the end to be the doctors wife and together they adopted the baby girl.

I didn't think so either it looked like they (their babies) were taken without actual signed consent. Such a scary thought!

Can't wait to see if she gets the baby back!
