Hi all, has anyone used the Sleep Sense program. Basically it involves some CC with either a stay in the room method or a leave and check method to get bub off any sleep props and to fall asleep on their own.
I've been feeding/cuddling to sleep so far with my 4.5 mth old, but the issue is it doesn't work as well as it used to - it can take ages for her to fall asleep and if she's full but still isn't asleep she gets really upset because she wants to comfort suck but without the milk! And she used to take a pacifier well but sometimes she flat out rejects it.
I'm thinking that it might be best to stop feeding to sleep so she learns to fall asleep in cot. I understand it might be best to wait til 6 mths, but I'd prefer to stay in the room/camp out while she learns to sleep on her own so object permanence is not really an issue.
Does anyone have experience with the Sleep Sense Program or would like to offer advice on how they stopped feeding to sleep and got bub to sleep in the cot? Thank you.
