    Default Jar food

So we have alway cooked all vegies and fruits from scratch.
We went away camping and situation changed and I could only get jar baby food. Which I wasnt at all happy about giving him. My son (10 months) gagged and screamed when I tried to feed him the pumpkin/potato/beef mix.
Has anyone elses child refused to eat premade food when brought up on homemade?

Yup Ds would only eat the fruit purees from raffertys as a last resort when we travelled. But to be honest the veggies & meat etc in a jar dont even almost look, smell or taste like food in most cases so I didnt blame him lol

Have you tasted it? They are fairly gross, particularly if you are used to fresh food. At 10 months you should be able to just give him family foods, even whatever you eat while camping.

My kids all ate a mix of jar/packet & home made but none of them would eat the jar/packet ones with meat in them

Yes idid taste it. Was as awful as he was making out to be.
Yes we usually just give him our food but some times he is still hungry so I like to give him something else.
Dont get me wrong, I am glad he preferred my food. Was a real shock to me.

My daughter eats a mix of packet and jar food plus homemade food.
I think it's fine. She refuses both home made and packet equally!! But funnily is quite partial to the tuna and veg organic one in woolies.

Yep we blw with dd and only used (or rather tried to use) jar food if I was cooking something unsuitable for her.

She hated it and I don't blame her! It tastes like crap.
