My sister is 26wks pregnant and on newstart allowance. We are just wondering when is eligible to stop job seeking with centrelink through her pregnancy?
Thanks in advance

I was on youth allowance as a job seeker whilst pregnant (I was under 21 so not eligible for new start) but the rules are basically the same as on newstart, I had to job search and attend appointments up until my son was born. The other option they offered me was to undertake a course through my employment agency which I found a lot easier to do then job hunting and interviews in the 3rd trimester this may be an option for your sister she should speak to the employment agency she's through about it

You can get a medical certificate from doctor stating not fit to be looking for work. I did that when i was pregnant.
