At least 12 months as it gives people time to save and plan their A/L. Ours is in June but we only decided late feb and told those that needed to know. Money isn't an object for 2 couples we know but we booked our trip last aug just for a holiday only.
Also depends how big it will be. We are 13 guests. My sister had 90 in port Douglas 17 yrs ago gave the 12 month notice

I haven't read through the whole thread as it's very large. I'm a month out from my wedding and just feeling over it!!
So much stress (yes I admit I put some on myself), can't wait for it to be done?
I thought it was meant to be enjoyable to plan, etc. but I'm just feeling crap! It doesn't feel like fiancé is helping with anything really yet he 'thinks' he is helping out. So many decisions and even though it's meant to be our day feels like everyone else comes before us?
    Is this normal???

I felt the same (mainly as no one was helping me), I just wanted everything to be over and done and for me to be on the plane for the honeymoon.

2 months to go & I feel the same - especially the bit about everyone else coming before me & my fiancé! We were going to elope originally & I often wish we had stood firm but we caved to family pressure. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better after your cry. Are you going on honeymoon straight after? Might help to think about how great that will be when you're feeling bad.

Yes, honeymoon the following Wednesday, very much looking forward to that.

I do feel more relaxed now after just letting it all out!
