    You look stunning!! Congrats!

And it doesn't matter how tight or small the budget is, the important thing is that it was what you & your DH wanted.

Hey guys, DP & I are thinking of getting married at the Botanical Gardens (Melbourne), but want something low key/low budget for the reception. Is having a cocktail style reception at someone's house too tacky? We were looking at reception places, but cant afford to pay $100 on average per head for 70 odd guests! I may sound stingy saying this but I can't justify paying $10k for one day as we're wanting to go to Europe for a month for the honeymoon.

Maybe look into making it over lunch, and see how much they charge then? Also I guess the further away from the CBD you are, the less it would cost.. I'm sure there are some lovely gardens further out...?

Or a Sunday? Also some places have discounts for hiring during the winter months as they aren't typically busy with weddings.
