Me and my sister have both ordered a number of dresses from jenjenhouse.com - and they are all amazing.
I ordered this one
in Burgundy and its fabulous.
All are fully lined, boned and made of really thick, good quality materials.
my sister ordered these ones
and they are gorgeous.
We both ordered a standard size 14, and all fit me beautifully - so they are fairly regular with their sizing. I havent tried to order custom sizing, but you can.
My dress took about 2 + 1/2 weeks to get here from when I ordered it.
My sis is getting married next year, and is ordering her dress from here.

yeah for sure go to a few different shops and try on a heap of different styles. Even if you think you dont really like them, they often look very different on than you expect.
Once you have decided on the kind of style you want ... then look online

I bought one online from Light in the Box for about $200, it was ok but looked like it was only worth that much.
I ordered our bridesmaid dresses from JJs house and they were made to measure, we ordered 3 different styles in the same colour for about $100 each and 2 were perfect. The third was ill fitting so we took it to a local dressmaker to fix, cost an additional $100. Still a lot cheaper than local shops. The dressmaker said just to be careful if you have a larger bust as those are the ones that usually need altering which was true in our case.

I got my wedding dress online. Basically I spent a lot to time looking for what I wanted online. Then I found a eBay seller (China) that has a similar dress and asked them to alter it how I liked. I ordered it around seven months before the wedding so that if it was crap I could buy one in a shop. I recommend a plan b. I figured I would only waste $300 if it was crap but potentially save $1200.
When my dress came I was very happy with it. Fit exactly and made as described. Below is a pic.

So I've been researching and so far as I can tell:
STAY AWAY FROM:
tbdress (not sure of . what?)
OK TO TRY- but do your own homework, look up reviews and try this site I have found to see if anyone has written anything about it: sitejabber.com
I will try to add ones in here that people have already mentioned, and if you know of any more that should be added to either list, please let me know
