Default As a mother, what do you need to function?

Ive come to the realisation that i just dont do well if i have too much time alone. I mean with other adults. I need other people in my life on a regular basis to chat with and get out of my own head. Whether it be a close friends, a new friend, family or some random stranger. I need people.

If i go too long without someone o chat with and de clutter my head i start getting down (im bipolar), a get tired, grumpy and generally feel like cr@p. I start neglecting the housework and get bored with cooking. I get annoyed at my kids and DH.

So what do YOU need to function as a mother? time at the gym, help around the house, a glass of wine at night??

    Sleep.

    Failing that, coffee.

I need people just like you, or I begin to go a bit loopy. I'm going back to work in 2 weeks, my dd will be 11 months and in daycare 2 days and with grandma 1 day! I'm scared to go back and leave her but I think it's really time as in beginning to go a bit batty only thinking about how many naps and cooking and I have no motivation at the moment to do house work!

I also like exercise when I get time abs the odd glass of wine after a hard day is something I certainly appreciate! Right now what I'm missing is getting all dressed up and feeling pretty and going for a night out!!

Sleep. Coffee and most forms of caffiene just give me a massive headache, otherwise I would utilise them to there fullest potential as well..lol.

Sleep. I'm incredibly tired at the moment thanks to being pregnant and DD being really unsettled at night. I just need a solid 6-7hrs unbroken sleep and I'll be fine. I'm so useless when I'm tired.

When I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding, a glass of wine or two certainly helps!

Definitely sleep and also food. I'm always hungry and if I don't eat I get cranky and tired.
The odd glass of wine also helps

I think im the opposite to you op, I feel smothered by people! I have a friend who is lovely and always drops in to visit but I feel like I can't just "be" when shes here sd she its write high maintenance in the guests category, iykwim? I just don't have the time or energy to be constantly entertaining?

so I guess, I need my space.

I need down time.... Once ds is in bed at night, I'm off duty, and anything that wasnt done - waits till morning. That is my time for movies, a bath, relaxing etc.

    I need chocolate.

Proudly brought to you by me and my autocorrect fail device.
