So mum took my almost 13 year old daughter today to get her high school uniform. She is on the chubbier size and generally wears a ladies 14-16. She wanted a skirt so I said to my mum try a 16 first ( thinking that it would be more than adequate being a normal size 14-16) when I get home from work I get told she had to get a size 22 .. She is no where near this size ( im a 22).. the lady told my mum that they are a small make. Yes we are working on her weight but really that means a normal size 10 would be in a 14-16. No wonder so many girls have issues

I remember my high school uniform being the same!

That must have been a hard one for your daughter.
Sizing variation is ridiculous, standardised sizing should come into play properly.

^considering myself lucky now that my mum made my school uniforms so they were no 'size' just made to fit me

Yep every school uniform I brought is like that. It so stupid.
Cut the size tag out straight away.

I agree there needs to be some sort of consistency in sizing... Her shorts are a medium. the size difference is amazing.

I'm a size 6 to 8 but went underwear shopping and had to buy a size 16 undies. Sizes have gone absolutely crazy! Get rid of the tag for sure.
