I will always try the cheapest option and will stick with it if it's good. After trial and error, the only things that I buy particular brands for are toiletries, glad wrap, coffee, toilet paper and coke (not that we buy it often).
I am specific in that eggs have to be free range and food items have to be a product of Australia (when possible).
