NancyBlackett - I think you've misunderstood me. It is currently illegal for us to sell a child restraint that has been certified to AS/NZS 1754:2013. We can make them, certify them, but we cannot SELL them until the 2013 Standard is mandated. If we could, I can assure you we would be.
As I said, this situation is unprecedented, and is extremely frustrating for everyone - us included.

So... to get the standard mandated ASAP, could we try lobbying the government with a petition? Would that speed the process up?
We bought a car for our baby based on the fact it had isofix and it looks like we are going to have to buy two car seats. GRRR...
