    Default GD question about snacks?

I'm newly diagnosed with GD and have been told I am to have three meals and 2-3 snacks and to test two hours after the meals, before I snack. My question is, can I have a snack at night time after dinner, even though I won't be testing again til morning? And will this affect the morning (fasting) reading?
    TIA

If you test after dinner and it's within normal range then it's fine to have an appropriate snack. You don't need to test after a snack any other time of the day

It shouldn't affect your fasting reading in the morning unless you're snacking all night or have something with too much carbs. But assuming you are only diet controlled you will get to know what affect different foods will have on your readings
