    Default Tradie Daycare

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. She is thinking about opening a family daycare specifically aimed at children of 'tradies'. Her idea is to open early at 6am and close at around 4.30pm. Her dh is a tradie and I know her idea has come from the difficulty of finding appropriate childcare for her and her family. If you were looking for childcare, would these hours be attractive to you?
    Thanks in advance.

My kids go to family day care and flexible hours are a pretty standard feature of family day care. A lot of FDC do weekends, overnights, early mornings. One of the kids at the FDC Mum we use starts at 6am.

As a nurse who's DH is a tradie I would love those hours. I leave for work before 6 and DH at 6 so the only daycare I can use is one at work that opens at 6.45 but they are chokers.

Great idea but as PP has said, FDC normally has that flexibility anyway.

Yep, I agree with the others - family daycare generally offers this flexibility already

I think a 5.45 am start would be more beneficial

The FDC's in my area have minimal hours- some don't start till 8.30 and then close at 5pm. Thanks for the feedback thus far.

Daycare in gold coast all open 6-6.30. I think it's more of a case that they need to open the same in other states
