    This is totally me too. I started getting them when we rented a house with stone bench tops. Couldn't work out why all of a sudden I was getting them. I started to think my shirts we catching on the zip of my jeans (they were a bit stretched!). Nearly all my tops had them. Then we moved to a place that had normal bench tops & it stopped. Now I'm back to stone bench tops & I'm getting them again. I finally worked out it's the button. The stone bench top is just at the perfect height for rubbing. It annoys me so much.

    I found it's still happening with my caesar stone bench top; and I've stopped wearing belts, it still comes from the button on my shorts! (Not as bad though without the belt, but still happens)

    So its not just me! And my spare tyre isnt (totally) to blame! I really took notice of this today and for me i think it actually might be from the car seat belt pressing on my belt buckle or jeans button. Maybe we should invent something to stop it lol.... Could make a fortune!!!

    Yep, mines my.seatbelt buckle and I thought it was moths. Its when I have jeans or pants with a waist button on.

    I dont have a spare tyre so dont blame yourself if you've thought that's what it was

    Oh wow DH and i thought it was either moths or belt buckles, but didn't think is was this common! It's the exact same place every time, so must be the jeans button or a buckle on the kitchen bench (ceaserstone).

    I think i will invest in an apron now...
