    Default Traumatic First Birth Experience

Hi, it's been 12 months since I had my baby girl but I'm still traumatized from it. How do I access the private discussion area?

@Sashie one of the Mods can give you the password. My son is 18 months and I'm just about getting over mine now. I didn't even really acknowledge I was traumatised until he was about 12 months old and wish I had sought support much earlier. Big hugs x

I've just found out I'm pregnant again and to be honest I'm just not thinking about the birth! I'm just going to enjoy the not thinking about it for a while

    Congratulations Sashie!

Choosing different care providers for my second birth, made such a difference to my pregnancy and birth and the postnatal period.

When you are ready, take a look at all your options and find people who match what you are looking for.

    take care

@Sashie have you considered a private midwife as a care provider?

My first birth because of where I live I had no choice but to go through the public system. My OB has just started doing fully private again and our private hospital has just opened up their maternity ward again so it's fully private this time. My OB is well aware of what I went through last time which is good.
