Lozby, hope you have got your lining issues sorted out.

Em, glad to hear you have a great rising beta, hope to hear that the next one shows a good rise too.

Petals, butterfly and anyone else I've forgotten

AFM - I've spent more time over the past few weeks looking through the donor and clinic information I have at the moment. I think up until about Jan/Feb, I still had a bit of hope that it might happen with own eggs, but since that disastrous Jan cycle with no normal embies, I've been slowly getting my head around it not happening for us. I think the only hurdles I have to cross now are getting my "oven" tested again to make sure there's nothing wrong with it, transferring our remaining frosties, then going DE.

    Hi
Springrain - sounds like a good plan! I also thought of getting a hysteroscopy to check lining as I've had a few issues with thickness etc. Anyhow leaving it gods hands and not doing that for now and going for a new cycle.
Mich Thailand is exiting. Their clinics are very advanced. They have so many donors both Thai and Caucasian.
We have chosen our donor! There were so many it actually became difficult to chose so we wrote everything down.
For us we wanted a donor who had more than 2 successful pregnancies it's not really necessary as I know many first donors have a successful pregnancy, however as we've already had failed DE cycles we wanted to increase our chances.

What I love about Thailand is that it's not anonymous which can suit people.
There are thousands if Chinese, Japanese, people doing DE in a Thailand as well as Australians and yet where are they all ? There were some on eggdonationaustralia but right now that thread is not that active. You can still be anonymous and private and still come post your info to help others.

    Hi all,

yes I find it strange that no one is posting about it... the SA thread is booming with girls telling their stories. I guess it just takes a couple of people to get it going and others will join up. If you build it n' all that .
@Lozby you're like the bubhub pioneer now for DE Thailand! You'll have to report back here so we can all hear how your experience went.

Springy - no one can say you haven't given your own eggs a red hot go... but I think once you make the decision to move to a donor and you're happy with your decision it's like a weight is lifted and the whole ivf process actually becomes positive. My FS was giving me 5% chance with my own eggs... and then to go to 65% chance with a donor... that certainly puts a spring in your step after years of depressing IVF.

So I better update here, we returned from SA on the 3rd - my donor got 12 eggs at transfer 6 fertilised, we transferred 2 x 5 day blasts and managed to get two to freeze. So far it's a BFP for us - I'm cautious at the moment (gun shy from my miscarriage last year I think) but hopeful that this little peanut will stick around. I have another beta on Wed next week.

    Em x

well i am sure glad to be here. i am filipino and my husband is aussie. i don't really care about what our child looks like but hubby wants it to be half asian, so i guess thailand is really it for us. am waiting to hear other success stories here. at the moment we are trying again with my own eggs. last time they cancelled my cycle. but really i don't want to keep doing this for years on end, i just want a little baby and it doesn't matter if it is not my biological baby as in the end, i will nurture it and i will be it's mother ... don't you think guys?

Hi Emski72, have you heard much reviews about the world egg bank, I haven't heard much good reviews which made me very disappointed. I had even selected a donor but I read that the eggs awe not good quality although matured. Would love to know if anyone had used them recently

Hi, apparently the success rate is not great - especially given the cost (approx 23k AUD) you can do almost 2 cycles overseas for that price and have a holiday with better odds (65% -70% in SA). Apparently my FS is now suggesting patients go overseas vs. TWEB
