I was thinking the other day about the myths associated with pregnancy. What's the weirdest one you have heard?
The most bizarre one I've heard is if you swallow chewing gum whilst you are pregnant it blocks off the placenta!!! Ummmmm ok...

That if you don't satisfy a pregnancy craving, then the baby will have a birthmark.
To this day my MIL will say she remembers the moment she craved a strawberry and didn't eat it and that's why her baby was born with a strawberry birthmark.... Oh.dear.

Hanging washing on the line, especially in the last trimester. My mum would freak out every time she caught me doing this, apparently it was a big no no in her time.

Mine were all the carrying baby ones, I.e. My back isn't very wide so I'm having a boy apparently (99.9% sure it's a girl in there!)

A friend was told by her mum not to go out in the sun or the baby would get burnt AND to take out her belly ring or it would imprint on the babies head :/
