Hi Amywillo, to be honest, I still get a bit confused with all this terminology, but I'm pretty sure, my last cycle was long down regulation protocol - I was in menopur and synarel.
I have an initial consultation with the nurse on the 1st of February. I will see what happens...

Could you please let me know how was your experience? How long did you have to wait to get first appointment. What about medications? Do they really use lower dosage to cut the cost? Thank you.
Hello and welcome! I am currently cycling with them now and I am very impressed given they are a low cost clinic. They are owned by IVF Australia and they rotate their FS there. I will pm you the name of the FS I saw. She was great. Very knowledgeable and very nice. Their nurses are fantastic and always return phone calls and they are pleasant. They ALWAYS run on time. I have been there twice already and all my appointment times were strictly adhered to. Also, if when you cycle you can't go all the way to Liverpool, they will let you do bloods and scans at your closest IVF Australia clinic. They also send all your meds there to save you a hike to Liverpool. So far so good, but I haven't had my egg retrieval yet. I'll have to let you know how I go, but so far I am impressed beyond belief. I was expecting terrible service, but they've given me the best service!
The first cycle will cost you $1500. Then each subsequent cycle thereafter is only $595.
They don't, say, convert cycles to IUI or do male infertility procedures and they don't do general anasthetic for egg retrieval. They do sperm freezing if required, but that's about it. They do use a very standard protocol, but they do work with you to see what works best for you. The first appointment is with the nurse and the second is with the FS. Your partner/husband must attend the FS appointment with you and you are required to go to Liverpool for egg retrieval procedure and the day 3 or 5 embryo transfer.
They ONLY do egg retrievals on Tuesdays and Thursdays, that's it. So if you are ready to trigger on Thursday, you can't, you have to wait until Sunday, which may mean you lose some follicles. They do put you on the BCP so your AF arrives anytime between Wed and Sun. They can't have you start a cycle on Mon or Tues.
Anyway, please feel free to pm me if you have any questions. They are wonderful. Even though you get to see the FS on rotation, they do let you book in to see the same FS if you want, but your contact is only with the nurses and they are so lovely. I was truly shocked with how great they were.. I was honestly expecting terrible service cos you do get what you pay for, but these guys were amazing.. I'll let you know how I do.

Thank you for all the details. Can't wait for my appointment- see what they say about my situation.
When do you expect your egg retrieval? Is it your first cycle with them?

    Hello everyone,

I've just been reading this thread as we are about to start our IVF journey. Hubby has a vasectomy reversal a year ago but unfortunately his motility is poor so no natural conception for us πŸ˜”

After reading everyone's responses I think the Fertility Clinic at Liverpool will suit us. I do have two questions though and would love so much if someone would take the time to answer ☺️

    1. How long did it take you to get an appointment after making your initial phone call to book said appointment?

    2. How many times and how often would you have to visit the clinic? We live 6 hours away so need to make a plan on how this will work travel wise. I'm assuming when we would go down for egg retrieval we would need to stay for a few days.

I would really appreciate any info or advice from someone who has been there and done this with the clinic. We are already quite a few thousand $$$ down from the reversal (oh how I wish we could go back and skip straight to IVF πŸ˜’) so hoping we can have success with a cheaper clinic.

    1. I got one the next week, after calling on a Friday.
    2. I get all my blood tests done there because I'm 20 minutes away, but otherwise maybe 3 times? I'm on FET cycles now, but I think originally it was just the original doctors visit, then checking follicles, collection and transfer. Didn't go back for the blood test because I bled before then.
