With your bleeds were they red and then tapered to brown?

With me it was basically I noticed 4 hrs since I had been to the toilet at 1 pm. I saw the red blood, panicked! And then once I cleaned up it was extremely light and then brown by about 2am. No cramps of anything just felt wet.

    Hi!

I have FVL and also +ANA and was only on clexane for our current pregnancy to stop my body from clotting off the pregnancy.

First two pregnancies I had no bleeding, third pregnancy had a placental abruption at 15 weeks and had to take it easy for 5 weeks. My doctor explained that it is like a nose bleed - if you keep on being active, they will keep on bleeding. All three of these babies we got to take home.

Our fourth I had smaller bleeds followed by a full mc and pph but the pregnancy was a fair way along.

Our fifth was a twin pregnancy. Lost one bub early on around 6 weeks and when we went for our 8 week scan the second bub had just passed away the day before - I had had brown/light pink spotting that started pretty much as soon as bub passed, but didn't start bleeding until just before D&C 1.5 weeks later.

Our sixth I was on aspirin and the sonographer picked up a sch at the 7week scan and there was a hb. Sonographer said that it looked like it was caused by the placenta starting to be cut off/coming away. Tried to contact public specialist obst. to try and get clexane but he said no, not until 8 weeks and my fs also said no. Was advised to stop aspirin. Baby died sometime before 9weeks - had small amount of red blood that when I rested still persisted so I went and got a scan to confirm that bub had passed.

Our sixth I was finally tested after the last mc for +ANA and started on clexane just after ovulation. Just before 10weeks I had brown spotting that lasted for 3 weeks and would sometimes be pink - scan revealed an older bleed that was coming out. At 13 week scan it was revealed that I had a larger internal bleed unbeknownst to me that was threatening the pregnancy and was advised to stop clexane. Almost cleared by 16weeks and no mention of it at 19 week morph scan. No more bleeding to date at 24.5weeks.

It is really hard to know whether or not a bleed is signalling the end of a pregnancy or if it just means you need to rest up for a bit. I've had mmc and no blood and I've also had a decent bleed and continued on to have a healthy baby.

Because you are on clexane I would be getting scans done every two weeks in the early stages as you don't know what is happening on the inside. The do like people to be on it though for at least the first 14 weeks.

    Hoping all ends well.

I did with the second and it came back all clear.

I started having problems when I was 31. Not sure if ANA levels only started or went up then or if they were always there and have affected me more as I have got older. Due to the FVL I had a seizure when just past 4 weeks along with the twins due to rise in estrogen levels. I was in excellent health at the time with a BMI of 20.

It's hard to lose our babies. Sometimes there just is no rhyme or reason to it.

I have factor v Leiden as well so I am not sure if the clexine made it look worse.

What were the average age you were when you had your miscarriage. I was 38 both times.
Fingers crossed it is just one of those unknowns, especially as it has stopped

My first loss I was 25, second was 28

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok.
just checking in with news to share that we are having a girl. Everyone was hoping for a girl after the last two are boys, especially my 7 yr old daughter.
Everything seemed good, so hopefully the report reflects that. I have to pick up the results tomorrow.

when are the other august ladies having their scans and are you finding out the gender?

Yay for your little girl. Mine is next wed 9th April. We are having a surprise though :-) feeling a little anxious for the scan, just want to get the ok. Not feeling any movement yet so need that reassurance.

    Thanks Green Cheese
i have an anterior placenta which I suspected because I'm not feeling a lot of very defined or strong movement.
Maybe yours is at the front too? It certainly muffles things because my baby was wiggling around during the scan and I only felt the really big movements and even still it's gentle.

Congrats on a healthy little girl in there bluebird. The big kicks will come soon enough

Bluecheese - I can't believe how quickly your morph scan has come around. It only seems like a few weeks ago I joined this thread and you had your nt scan!

Speaking of, my nt scan is next Tuesday. Nervous as is to be expected bit trying to keep positive
