Most I'd spend or buy a set for is $40. Harris Scarfe have some gorgeous ones. Some of mine are misd matched now but I don't care. It's all I can afford. Doesn't worry me.

If u can afford it why not.

Uh... cos the crockery changes how the food tastes? I mean im all for people spending however much they want to on whatever they want but seriously? Life is too short for eating off of cheap crockery? Thats a little extreme.

We bought cashmere bone china in plain white and when on sale we buy an extra box if we need it, I love that you can buy individual replacements if you need them - so I'm happy to spend more on this style - we've never gotten sick of the white - it's timeless

I went to look at the dinner sets in the store today. The noritake I wanted was lovely but the bowls and cups in the set were way too small and individual pieces were out of my price range. I saw the mw cashmere and they look great plus much more affordable and lots of bowls available! I have been googling and there's mixed reviews. For those who own this set, do you have any issues with it?

Nope it's perfect and looks gorgeous. I buy extra tid bits like salad bowls and egg cups when they are on sale, some times up to 50% off - it's great to be able to add anything that suits your household and replace bits that get broken!

Do you use a dishwasher because I have read that's what causes lots of problems with the glaze?

My mum has had her cashmere set for 10yrs and it still looks brand new and she runs her dishwasher every day, sometimes twice. (slight cleaning compulsion!). I'm hoping to get back to the sales and get some more bits for our set.
