I went to take him to the hospital at one point but I got out side and he started babbling to the moon. I stayed out side with him for half an hour playing and then he was asleep again.

I have had maybe 2 hours of broken freezing cold sleep.
For some reason he was over heating.

Really hope everyone else did better.

No he was just clamy. And would scream when I put a blanket on him.
I'm booked in to see the gp in a few hours just to be sure.

Yep, I would check into that too. Not sure how old your bub is but could it have been teething? Hopefully doc can give clean bill of health and it was just a one off night.

He is 21 months. Not teething anymore.
We have a few health issues so I need to get him seen. I think it may have been night terrors but not sure

    Forgot to update.
He has an ear infection. Both ears.
Poor man was up again all night. But he is happier today. Antibiotics are helping I think. Also nurofen.

I hope everyone else is getting sleep.

Glad your issue is identified and hopefully bub can be well on the way to feeling better. Glad it's not night terrors as you were worrying it might be....

How do you deal with the frustration when your baby only sleeps for one sleep cycle (30 minutes) each time during the day & it often takes longer than that to get him to go to sleep (in rocker not cot)?

Its been happening since he was born & its driving me nuts. I feel like I spend the entire day trying to get him to sleep

We had a huuuuge long period of DD only doing a single cycle for each sleep during the day. Honestly I just gave up after a while, the stress just wasn't worth it. I instead gave myself "permission" to give her several cat naps through the day rather than aiming for two big ones. At least that way I wasn't house bound and could get her to sleep in the pram, car, etc. she grew out of it when well over a year old!
