I am approx 8 weeks pregnant with my first child and I have long had a paralyzing fear of doctors. I am perfectly happy to have my child alone at home, but have been asked by my mother to find a midwife. As an legal immigrant (from America) I am unfamiliar with procedures for doing so here. In America, we'd simply look in the phone book. Can anyone offer advice?
