    Default help with gastro diet.

    apart from steamed rice, steamed fish/chicken, dry crackers etc can anyone suggest anything else? me and dd are both trying to recover from a dreadful bout of gastro. vomiting etc has stopped but i just feel weak.

    I heard no dairy or meat until 48 hours after vomiting has stopped.

    Fruit and vege should be ok. Banana is good for minerals.

    I usually stick to the Brat diet -bananas, rice, apple, toast.

    We stick to the brat diet after gastro. Gives you energy and nutrients without further aggravating your system.

    I've also heard that bananas are good, they have lots of potassium and will also firm stools!
