    Hi Ladies,

It has been such a long time since I have posted on here.

Just thought I would let you know that I had our twins 8 weeks early in October. Twin "a" our precious girl was 2050 grams and after a very rocky start, spending 4 weeks in the special care nursery, came home and has done really well. She now weighs 3900 grams and absolutely rules the roost!!

Our beautiful little twin "b", our son, didn't make it. He weighed 1508 grams and was just perfect. It has been a very bitter sweet for us all.

I haven't had a chance to read all of the older posts, but I hope you are all well- all the best for 2014 xx

Oh Wickets, I am so very sorry for the loss of our precious boy. It must be bittersweet indeed but I am extremely glad your daughter is doing okay. Wishing your family all the best for 2014. Hugs (for some reason I can't add any graphics to my posts today)....xxxxx

Wickets, Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl. So sorry to hear of the loss of your precious son.

To all the ladies that have had successful IVF through Westmead, I have a quick question. Does your 7 week scan absolutely have to be done at Westmead? The reason I ask is that the Nuclear Med department cannot get me in until at least the 14th Jan. I will then be 8 weeks. I am thinking of perhaps going to a private ultrasound clinic closer to home, who can get me in closer to the 7 week mark.

Happy New Year to All! May all your wishes come true in 2014

Hi Ever - you can have the scan done anywhere, just ask the nurses and they will send you a referral that you can use elsewhere. You just need to ask the non-Westmead provider to send the results to Wmead as they track all their pregnancies.

Oh thanks Twocam! The wait for the first ultrasound is a crazy time hey? I am 6w today. I can't wait to see that everything is progressing as it should. I have booked externally for my first ultrasound for 11th Jan. I will be 7w3d. I will call Westmead for a referral when they reopen. I am feeling good, no spotting, just heavy breasts and occasional cramping. I peed on a stick to reassure myself this morning! The line is still strong and dark.
