So who's planning on cycling in 2014? Hubby & I agreed to talk about it (just talk!) after Georgia's 1st birthday in March...

Thanks ladies, I meant to say the party was sat, but my actual birthday is Tuesday! The joys of being born on Xmas eve! It was great, my friends all brought their kids over and they p,Ayer in the pool, over and done with by 6pm so I didn't drink to excess and no hangover yesterday!
I think I woke up with conjunctivitis though. Yesterday I woke up to gunky eyes and one was bloodshot, same thing again today, except today my vision is a bit blurry - off to the docs I go!
Mrsjaguar, we'll be cycling next year, probably not till late march/April as I want to get all my tests with dr Matthias completed before cycling again.
Hoping, how are you going?
Crofty and twocam are you ready for impending birth? It must be so exciting!

Happy New Year Ladies! I am back from my trip and having a lazy Sunday lie in. Happy belated Birthday Chiefs! I hope you had a beautiful day. Sorry about your eyes!
I am currently 5 weeks and 4 days or there abouts. I have checked a number of due date calculators and they differ by a day or so. I have so far not been able to book in for my 7 week scan because of the Christmas closures. I am hoping to get this pinned down this week.
DH and I are starting to plan and to dream. We are so incredibly over the moon. We have told my parents and 2 of my very close friends. I am confident that this is a heathy and happy pregnancy.
I just wanted to share a few things that I truly believe helped DH and I get our BFP:
Acupuncture. Over the last 3 months I had almost weekly acupuncture. I am utterly convinced that this had a major part in calming my body, assisting with my pesky endometriosis and in soothing my mind. I initially did 6 weeks of chinese medicine also, before starting our successful round of IVF. My first cycle, before acupuncture, I had poor quality C grade embies. By the time I had the cycle of my BFP, I felt much more in control. I have not yet seen the embryologists report for this recent cycle, but know that the quality of our embies must have greatly improved. I love my acupuncturist! She is the most reassuring, kind and calm person. I emailed her a pic of my BFP and she is so genuinely happy for me. I will continue to see her during pregnancy, maybe fortnightly.
No beers for DH! DH kept his promise of an alcohol ban from the day I started sniffing Synarel so nearly four weeks in total. He was only allowed a beer on the night after egg collection. The poor chicken could not drink at family gatherings, and even his work and social xmas parties!
Valium. I took 5mg of valium 35 minutes before the transfer. I had some in the cupboard from a previous prescription. I have read that a number of US clinics give their patients valium to relax the uterine muscles and calm the patient during transfer. I felt none of the pre transfer nerves and was definitely more relaxed, with none of the spasming I experienced in my previous unsuccessful transfer.
To all the ladies TTC in 2014, this is your year. The human body performs miracles every day. One of those little miracles is yours. Soon. Science is amazing and can give our bodies that little push. Wishing everyone a Fertile and Happy 2014. 2014 has a good ring to it! Xx
