I do different. It's just what I'm used to I guess. However I have seen friends who use 2 colours that match their tree theme and it does look so pretty.

I "theme".....this year my "theme" is a beachy white, silver and aqua and my tree is dark green with all white decorations.
I have a couple of rolls of wrapping paper that have a white, silver and aqua pattern and then I have separate rolls of aqua, silver, white and another of a very deep blue. Gift cards are mini starfish with a white card attached with white satin ribbon.

I like to wrap everything in a different paper so as mismatched as you can get!

Different!! I've been buying the ridiculously huge rolls from aldi for about 4 years and only use a small amount of each roll so I've got quite a selection

I use whatever i have here at the time. Whether it matches or not, i dont care. When i run out, i just leave whatever isnt wrapped as it is coz i am lazy like that.
