    I'm totally addicted
    Told myself I'll check my apps in once in the morning and then before bed bit I'm failing big time
    Got worse since being on maternity leave

    I have absolutely no self control and I'm totally a tech addict. I prefer doing stuff on my PC, especially if it involves typing, but I take my tablet everywhere else. Luckily a separate wifi connection is too expensive so it usually stays at home; no point in a tablet without internet, amirite?

    And since I broke my smartphone screen (and found out that it's the most breakable phone on the market, huzzah), I'm much too paranoid to even use the damn thing as much as I used to! So that cuts out procrastinating outside the house.

    So far I've made the bedroom and bedtime a no device zone. Except for my ereader - it doesn't have internet on it and I consider reading actual books an excellent use of my time. Far better than browsing reddit and Cracked until 1am!

    During the day I try to keep DS busy and keep us both out of the house as much as possible or else I just hang out on the computer or tablet and do nothing (and somehow lose half the day anyway). Or I watch TV, which is bad enough because it's on ABC2/4 most of the time. There's some weird **** on children's television ...

    I am getting better! But it's a slow process.

    My NY resolution is to spend less time on this damn thing. I'm deleting all my apps...even BH DH is starting to get very ****ed off.

    For the last week or so, I put my phone off at bedtime, leave it in the lounge, go for my shower, then bed
    No phone in bed

    I have to admit I'm awful, as I sit here on my smart phone while watching tv. It started out reaching for it every time the ads came on, now I don't even know what's going on in the show and I've already checked everything - twice.

    I tried doing that a while ago, it lasted 2 nights :/ then I had to bring it in to the bedroom for the alarm and it hasn't been left out since (there are only a couple of sound settings that manage to wake me up, other alarms we have tried I sleep through)

    I do the same! DP will come in and ask me what has been happening on tv and I will have no idea at all.
