I'd be so cranky if I were you! What a pair of loser parents. As PP's have already said OP. You did nothing wrong.
They are just a pair of nut jobs. Poor kids I reckon, to have parents like that.

What a horrible experience! Sounds like they felt guilty (rightfully so) and lashed out at you to make themselves feel better.
Good on you for just walking away and not getting into a fight with the crazies.

Ummm on what planet do they live where a complete stranger is the 'supervising adult'?? It's their child not yours! And to say you made them late.... while they were sitting their butts on the lounge. Riiiight
You are not in the wrong OP. Not one single bit.

The only people they should be blaming is themselves for not properly supervising their own children.
I would have been furious - what a nerve they had to lash out at you!
Clearly they were not intelligent folk.

Those parents sound moronic.
You did nothing wrong.

I also bet if you'd raised your voice asking their girls to sit down they would have yelled at you about that too - and probably still blamed you for missing the party (sounds like they were looking for an excuse to not go, probably too lazy to!!).
