Nope, not in the wrong. At all. I hope they realise how stupid they looked but they probably wont.

You did nothing wrong, stupid parents. I detest parents who don't supervise their kids, they weren't your responsibility and you tried to get them to sit down anyway.

Hugs OP. What awful people there are out there. You were doing something nice and it backfired. Don't let it deter you. They clearly were feeling guilty (well I hope so anyway) and took it out on you.
I would of walked away too and got out of there as quickly as possible. It wouldn't of changed a thing talking to the security guard. I wonder what they said. "Hello officer, this stranger was watching our girls whilst we were sitting on our asses....."

You did nothing wrong, the other parents are irresponsible and a little nuts.
Don't let other people blame you for their bad parenting and if you had said something to them the chances are they would have gotten mad at you for telling off their kids.

Ugh, I hate feral parents. You are the supervising adult for your child, and have no responsibility whatsoever for the little ferals who jumped on the ride without asking and then proceeded to misbehave. It is their parents fault for not supervising, by that age surely they should be capable of sitting on a ride safely.

Wow. I cannot stand parents like that!
You did nothing wrong and they should have been supervising their own children. Personally I would have told these kids to sit down or get off but that's just me- I'm not afraid to tell someone else's children off if they're putting themselves and/or others at risk. Stupid parents like that don't deserve to have kids at all.

wow. bogans are really out in full force this time of year.
Dont get yourself too worked up about it, from my view i think you did nothing wrong.
you are not responsible for other peoples kids - was it a creche? were you employed to be a carer? pffft. Parents should have been greatful to you to keep them amused while they sat around.
stupid bogans think they know everything.

Hell no! You are in no way responsible! That is plain ludicrus. Their kids, their responsibility. If you had taken it further, than they probably would have went off at you for trying to descipline their children. These people need a smack in the face!
