I walked around a frantically busy supermarket this morning with an over- loaded trolley, and DD (who is 4)... I was actually glad when she started rhythmically poking me in the butt every 2 seconds because I no longer had to keep twisting around to see where she was and make sure she wasn't in other people's way! ...but yes, I got a couple of dirty looks...I also got a few smiles...

hugs to you OP, it's a strange time of year...

Well I'm not going to the shops until Xmas is over I can NOT believe the rudeness in people at this time of year!!!

Don't worry op I got told by a man that I was a bad mum for letting dd run wild in the shops instead of locked in a pram! I won't type what I said to him! She is a very good kid at the shops and in fact a little lady she walks next to me and listens. I'm sick of grumpy ar$es sticking their nose in. She's a child walking not a wild hog or a bl00dy python or something. They are little people being little people! She was no where near wild!!

It's Xmas it's meant to be a happy time why is everyone rude and grumpy! Buy your presents early or online and if family lunches are to stressful don't have them or don't go! People should be greeting each other and children should be filled with excitement!

It's like to see how those brainiacs manage a small child in a public place. It's so easy to pass judgement and spew forth words of amazingly simple minded wisdom when you aren't the parent.
