    I'm pretty sure it's impossible to tell at the 12 week scan, you have to wait until the 18 week scan. I'm pretty sure this is because the genitals aren't formed yet at 12 weeks

    It used to be the way, but with the improvements in technology alot of people are now being told at 12 week scan

    Absolutely. I know a lot of women who have found out at 12 weeks what they were having. We have been told what we are having from a 13 week scan (just waiting for 20 week scan to confirm though).
