    Is he into dress up? My DD 5 loves role play and dress ups so we bought her a couple of dress up outfits from kmart.
    also I bought the very hungry caterpillar board game the gruffalo board game.
    She is also getting a beach towel and bubble blowers.

    If he is into nature and outdoors maybe binoculars, magnifying glass, video camera, camera. Not sure though if 5 is too young as my oldest is only 4yo.
