was just wondering if anyone has a toddler in daycare, how much sleep do they get?
We are struggling with the amount of sleep our little one is having and would love to hear other peoples experiences.
I would like her to have a longer nap there..

How much sleep does your toddler get at daycare?

DS never ever had a decent nap at child care unfortunately. He slept beautifully at home for 2-3 hours, at child care it was 30-60 minutes. 60 minutes was a miracle sleep. Some days he would t go down at all. I just had to work around it, and tried to get him to bed as early as possible on day care days.

We're the opposite!!! DS (20 months) has only ever been a catnapper - his day sleep usually is 30 mins for me, 45 mins & I'm cheering! But at childcare he sleeps for 1 1/2 hours!!!!!!
I wish I could mimic whatever they do!

DD's childcare have a sleep room that all the children nap in. As they wake they are taken to another part of the centre to play. None of the kids are woken at a certain time just down after lunch and wake up when they wake up.

DS has always slept less at daycare. At home he goes down for two hour naps and gets seriously grumpy if he misses out, at daycare he'll sleep for an hour and be full of energy all day regardless.
I always took it to be from the fact that there's so much more to do there. Who wants to sleep through all that excitement?
Of course at home I have the luxury of silence and ignoring him if he wakes up early and he'll fall back asleep within a few minutes. At daycare he can hear the other kids playing and there's sure as heck no way he'll roll over and go back to sleep.
