Happy new years eve ladies. Mine will be spent on the couch watching the early fireworks on tv and reckon I will be in bed by 9:30.

Happy New Year ladies!! I hope you all had a nice night, even if it was a bit quieter than previous years.
We went to a nice casual night at a friends place and the hosts were so lovely - they kept making me special fruity mocktails which were very yummy. I even saw midnight!
In other exciting news we bought a pram and carseat yesterday I'm now feeling more impatient than a kid on Xmas morning waiting for DH to wake up so we can put it together. Tempted to do it myself, but building stuff is kinda his thing and it's a way he can feel useful doing something for bub, so I'll wait

Well we had a great night I had a couple of the Ultra light coopers throughout the day then after a sausage sizzle in front of our firepit some friends came across the road to drop in for 10min and next things it's midnight we opened some champagne & i treated myself to a glass! Next we know it's after 1am so think we were in bed about 2am.
This morning we woke up at 8.30 and I made us coffee & pancakes with mixed berries & maple syrup to eat out the back in our entertaining area followed by a glass of orange juice! Then after chatting about a cool toy I saw the neighbours had I have purchased it online for delivery with Target!
What a great morning

Wow Arlais! Can't wait to get our pram and car seat! Still deciding what we want.
Jay so funny, I was playing with that toy last night as my cousin's daughter has it. We were outside with a paddling pool and toys and BBQ. Lots of fun with friends.

Pram is now set up! I can see it sitting in the hallway from the lounge and it seems so surreal that it won't be long before we're putting a baby in there
I read up on a lot of different reviews, but in the end it was actually going into a few baby stores and playing with the prams to see what suited DH and I that helped us make the choice . For example, I thought it was going to be necessary to get one with an adjustable handle as there's a big height difference between us, but it turns out after pushing a few different ones around I'm more comfortable with a slightly higher handle- which is also good for DH.
Definitely take negative product reviews with a pinch of salt too. I found out that a couple of issues people reported could have been easily solved or avoided if they had followed the instruction manual properly.

What did you end up with Arlais ?

I have no clue what we want to get yet, in terms of prams, and car seats, and cots, and stuff. I don't know of a lot of baby goods stores here in Adelaide and would prefer not to order online. We've been looking around at Target's stuff a bit, so will probably end up going with that. Their stuff fits in well with our limited budget. We want to try and spend no more than $200 to $250 on each item. I've also found a bouncer that I like the look of, so still considering that.
This is what we've been looking at so far:-
Hipod i-Fold Stroller - $229.
Hipod Milan Convertible Car Seat - $179.
Childcare Sandford Cot - $249.
Bright Starts Zoo Tails Bouncer - $49.
