    I was made redundant when preg with #1 during GFC along with 20 others.
    Was 6 weeks play plus 4 weeks pay for every year worked - capped at 12 months pay, all at minimum tax.

    Hah hah beebs. We were offered to volunteer to be made redundant when they did a big cut in the health department earlier this year and I did seriously think about volunteering. They were offering 12 months wages! But then I thought, what else would I do in this town employment wise?!

    Still not sure what dh will be paid and probably won't know until it happens but would be helpful to have an idea! I suspect he will get 6 weeks plus his yearly bonus that has accrued plus 4 weeks for each year he has been with the company.

    It will be nice to have him home for a while as he's a FIFO worker.

    Completely depends who the employer is and whether there is an award or EBA in place that deals with severance entitlements. If there is none, contact Fair Work to find out legislated minimum entitlements.
