    Congrats I've just gone 6 weeks smoke free. I found the quit buddy app helpful. It does get easier after a while. Good luck!!!

    We have a wellness program at work that I coordinate it and I LOVE when people use it! We run an annual survey asking what staff want from it, and no one ever wants assistance to quit smoking, where I think that's where they would get the most value from it! I just want people to try the wellness program out, even if they don't always stick to it, at least they've given it a go.

    Had quitline call me tonight. I will recieve my patches and some lozenges within a week.

    I am feling rather positive about it right now and really want this.

    Good on you Bec I've just passed 6mnths smoke free and it's definitely the best thing I've done. I used gum for two days then nothing. If it's the right time for you then you will be fine. I believe if you're in the right head space to quit then you will.

    Yeah I like the app. It has games and stuff to distract you through cravings too. I still have the odd thought of having a smoke but it passes quickly. I've been out drinking with friends and not slipped up so think I'm doing pretty well!

    Got 4wks of patches and some lozenges. Going to start tomorrow as would rather start on a fresh day than half way through so i can count a full day. Worried about it being a hard time of the year and with a lot of stress happening right now with family drama but i really want this.

    Regarding the stress, you will always have stress in your life so not quitting because you have some stress in your life right now is not a good excuse. All you need to do is get through tomorrow. Don't think past that.

    I would highly recommend tossing out all traces of smoking including smokes, lighters, ash trays etc. Make your home a non-smoking home.

    Think about your DS. Do you want him to smoke? Statistically he is very likely to smoke if you are which is a really REALLY good motive to not light up.

    I quit when I found out I was pregnant with DD, after she was born I started to get bad cravings again but the thought of her seeing me smoke stopped me from starting up again (although there were days it was hard to stop myself even though I hadn't had a smoke in around a year).

    Good luck op it's hard at times but it gets easier and is so worth it
