    Default Toddler hitting me!

DD is 22 months old and has just started hitting me all the time, this is either with her hands or objects.

So far I've just been using a stern voice to say no hitting but she is just laughing at me, she also has been hitting me with books, I have been taking the books off her, then walk away and she throws a tantrum.

Why this happens is, she is angry that book time or play time is over, so we will play or read for awhile but then I might need to do something else and she cracks it.

How have you stopped this in your children because she got me a beauty this morning with a heavy book that I didn't see coming and I nearly hit her as my first reaction which scared me abit.

I started reading the book 1-2-3 magic. My daughters tantrums were similar to what you are describing.

    I highly recommend it.

We've started using 1 2 3 magic. Our boys are 7 and 4 now but it would have been great to know about and use it at that stage.
