Thank you all for your well wishes. I am still here, 40 weeks today Little miss has held out for us, bless her! So funny that I've been hoping and praying she DOESN'T come haha.
My follow up scan is at 1.45pm perth time today and then meeting with my home birth midwife and the doctors at the hospital at 3.30pm to discuss the results. I've been resting and hydrating as much as possible. Everything just rests on the outcome of this scan. If fluid is normal I have a great chance of being able to home birth. If it's dropped more I will have to accept that I need a hospital birth but I will still try to prolong having to get induced as long as the baby is happy and healthy. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.

Trying not to be impatient @Colbie.
3 days out from due date here.
Trying not to be concerned that baby is posterior. I've been having really random erratic braxton hicks with some real contractions for 3 days now. I'm pretty sure she's not going to turn until I get some serious contractions. She's right under my anterior placenta.
I've had back labour with all of my babies so I think they've all started posterior, so shouldn't be a problem really but I can't help wondering if her position is what is holding up the labour.
I've had to sit and even sleep in reclined positions all through the pregnancy due to wicked ligament/nerve pains in my side and the fact my stomach is so tight it hurts to sit upright for too long, so I feel like there's nothing I could have done to prevent posterior positioning.
Sorry for the novel! Hoping and praying everything works out in a few days. I'm not worried about delivering face up if I have to, one of my babies was face up. The rest turned in labour.
i hope your scan shows everything is on track for you Colbie.
What gestation was your first? My first two came at the same gestation.
How are you @Green Cheese? It's your due date today too?

@Bluebirdgirl we are so similar. Baby is half way around, with her spine on the right side of my belly. I think that's what has been causing all the Braxton hicks etc for me as well, and I also think she won't turn until labour. DS was exactly the same (half way around) and so I got both back and tummy pain during my labour, but he came out the right way so he turned at some point. I think it may be how my uterus is shaped or something, it obviously more comfortable for them to be side on?!
I hope bubba turns soon for you, as you know it will more than likely happen quite quickly after that!
I went into labour late at night on 40+1 and then DS was born the very early hours of 40+3.
Sending labour vibes your way If anything the last few days have taught me to let things happen as they happen. Probably the last thing you feel like hearing- I know I was getting annoyed when people were telling me that, as I started to get impatient towards the end of last week, but I'm really trying to just trust my body and trust the process now. DH is the anxious one now, he just can't wait for her to be here!

Omgosh @Colbie, my baby is in exactly the same spot! I've been sleeping only on my left side for weeks but no dice, she's not budging.
And I'm like you too, have given up fussing about dates and days now.
Do you have a tipped uterus? I do and I've read it doesn't make any difference once your uterus grows out of the pelvis but who knows.
I'm wondering if labour will go really fast once it happens, little bit daunting! I need to pay attention and not doubt myself as I have done with my other labours.
be funny if our girls come on the same day! I'm thinking once you get your confirmation you will go into active labour

Congratulations @Tattooedmum! Beautiful name, hope you are recovering well.
Looking forward to an update @Colbie, I'm sure it will be good news. It sounds like you are taking it all in your stride, and keeping calm. @Bluebirdgirl, sounds like things have been painful for you. Hope things ease up soon (with the birth of your bubba!).

I'm still here! By my dates I thought today initially but the Dr is going by Wed. My due date appt is actually tomorrow though so will be interesting to see if anything happening. She said she would check internally tomorrow, and I know with dd she was able to do a s&s so hopefully she will try again tomorrow and with any luck it will start something happening(didn't with dd though).

Ok so I've been given a week to home birth the compromise is that induction in hospital booked for next Monday if I haven't gone into labour by then... so it's all systems go to try and get her out!
My midwife is confident I will go into labour within the week so fingers crossed! She gave me a stretch and sweep today and I'm booked in for acupuncture tomorrow morning!
The fluid levels had fine up slightly which is good, still on the low side though. Everything else was totally fine
