for those of you who have had BFP and then miscarried, does this sound like what happened to you? Anyone had loss of preg symptoms but not miscarry?
How far along are you now kiwi? I remember freaking out a bit early on because I had a couple of days where I was feeling quite good and worried the pregnancy had stopped progressing, but everything was fine.

If you've had pessaries in the past I've heard several ladies say they had some spotting some time after finishing them but everything turned out fine.

Ive just been been told my NK cell results were right on the borderline of high and normal. Definitely not super high but just ever so slightly out of the normal range. We are trying naturally but on a monitored cycle where they will track my ovulation and I've been prescribed 15mg prednisolone. I feel very anxious after reading online about pred side effects even tho the dr, a nurse and a pharmacist have all saidto me it's unlikely to happen on such a low dose. Just curious to know what others experiences with prednisolone are ?

    Thanks so much in advance
Hi LL...I had so many problems with prednisolone. I did conceived naturally twice in six months time but after I started pred 25 mg daily , didn't conceived once even IVF didn't work. It's been an year now. I have stopped it & trying naturally again. I have read online as well that so many girls facing problem in conceiving if they r on pred. So plz be careful & if you don't conceive within 3-4 months thn ask your dr. To stop it. I had so many side effects after stopping it as well. Also dr. M advised me that he prescribe some girls for 3 weeks before their cycle.

I hope this helps you to save your time & effort .. Good luck 👍

Thanks tts. I guess I cd get up at 330 and do it on the days I have pt at 5am! I'm guessing it doesn't matter if it's not the same time every day? And it doesn't have to be 12hrs apart? I just don't want to not exercise as I'm already heavy and don't want to put on too much more weight with the prednisone!
No, you don't have to do it exactly 12 hrs apart for the pessaries. The IVF med is more important to be on time, even so synarel can be +/- 1 or 2hr. I had to adjust to the time differences so I had done moving it forward and backward by an hr or 2 in the past with pessaries. Even the nurse telling me that people can wait until ready to bed to put one in rather than a hassle in the evening.

I know everyone's protocol is different but is anyone on the same as me? 50mg clomid one per day cd2-6 then dex and provera cd14-28.

i read somewhere that dex should be taken prior to ovulation so now I am confused if I wrote down the instructions correctly.

Thanks A. I'm 6 weeks 2 days. I'm still on 400mg prog pessaries twice a dayWas loving the preg symptoms as they reassured me. Now with none and getting crampy I'm scared .

Guess all can do is pray baby is fighter and holding on tight and will give us a heartbeat tomorrow. Just wish I could hit fast forward button to giving birth and hey presto a baby to look after and love.

When did you get to the stage you could "enjoy" being preggers? It's just been so hard getting to this point I'm terrified of having to do it all again and then still not getting a miracle.

kiwi76, hang in there! FX that the bub keeps fighting.

I have some questions. For those who did NK cell biopsy and did something with the camera to check out the uterus (I have no idea what procedure is that) with Dr. M, how much does he charge? If you can PM with the item numbers, I would really appreciate it. Does medicare cover it? I didnt' have medicare before and my health fund denied our day hospital rebate because they said is IVF related and we are still on waiting period. So I am very careful about if there is hospital charges involved.

He mentioned sedation. Do you think I can get it done in the morning and fly back that evening? For interstate, he recommends flying in in the morning, do the procedure in the afternoon, spend a night and then fly back the next day. Can you do it alone without partner?

Cheifsgirl and Earlwood... thanks for your thoughts. I understand that it's more the case that the Saizen doesn't work when taking Prednisolone - not only did the clinic recommend against it, but I read the product brochure and it specifically mentions it. But the clinic says "Prednisolone" is the no-no (which is what Dr M prescribed me), rather than "Prednisone" (which I understand is slightly different, and is what my other immune doctor prescribed for an eye allergy!).

Bbhope, I don't have the item numbers to hand, but the hysteroscopy is covered by Medicare, it's not an ivf procedure so your phi might cover it. I don''t have full phi, just basic hospital cover and I was covered for the hospital. I just had a gap fee to pay dr m, I think the gap varies depending on who your phi is with. You could fly, but you can't leave hospital alone, you have to have someone with you. It's a general anaesthetic, so you need someone with you.

MGC Bertie, I think prednisone and prednisolone are the same variant. My clinic wasn't bothered that I had taken corticosteroids with saizen before. If you are really worried I would ask dr m.

Kiwi76, hang in there. I have everything crossed it's just your uterus stretching. I have never been pregnant so have no experience to draw on, but sending so many positive vibes your way xxx

Err.....general?! Dr M said that it is sedation, somewhere in between general and not have any. I am tempting to do this alone as I might be able to extend my business trip to syd a week longer if AF cooperates next month.

Does the medicare cover the hysteroscopy and NK cell biopsy in full? If someone has item number handy, pls PM me so i can check with my PHI. Need to budget our $$ lately. Thanks.
