I know it is so frustrating isn't it... wait a year of ttc to see a specialist.... wait some more to get an appt... wait some more for results.... start ivf... more waiting... more waiting for results... waiting to change docs it is exhausting!

    Hi, ladies,

need some advices here. I am from Perth but did my IVF in Sydney for a special reason. I just had a chemical pregnancy. My Syd FS will send me a list of BTs to check for implantation issues. She suggested me to do the NK cell testing if any thing sets off a red flag with the BTs. My gut feeling is that I should just do the NK cell biopsy. Leave nothing to chance. I just found out that there is somebody in Perth that can perform NK cell biopsy (yeah for not having to make another trip to sydney!). If you are Dr. Matthias or Dr. Sacks patient, can you please tell me if they are willing to accept the results done in other labs and consult me? It is just purely for a 2nd opinion. I just haven't heard much about this FS who does NK cell biopsy in Perth.

    Thanks.

Hi bbhope. I had my biopsy done with Dr M in December. Prior to that I asked him if I could have my fs (I am also interstate) do it but he said he has found that other labs don't test specifically for what he requires so he wanted me to go to him.

bbhope - I had a uterine biopsy done here of my own request to my FS in Melbourne, and then found Dr M at the same time, booked an apt, and sent the result up to him. It was prob Melb pathology that did my test results, as that's who Melb IVF tend to use. Dr M didn't ask / request for me to have another one, so I'm not sure if that particular result had everything he needed or not. Then he ran the bloods as well to get the full picture.
I can totally understand wanting to save a trip to Sydney, It all gets a bit much at times.
