I was out at lunch with a friend today just chatting away when a man walked up to us. He said sorry for interrupting - looked at me and said he saw me walk in and thought I was beautiful and after seeing I didn't have a ring on my left finger thought he would come and ask for my number.
I told him I felt like I was on punked and he assured me there was no camera crew. I didn't know what to say so he told me he'd leave me to my lunch and I could think about it and give him my number later if I decided I wanted to.
After he left my friend and I were like 'did that just happen?' And then continued with our convo.
About ten minutes later he returned with his name and number on a coaster and said he thought he'd just give me his number so I didn't have to think too hard about it. I said thanks - then we left not long after.
I really admire his courage for doing that as it's not something I would ever do but I'm terrible at making the first move (even though technically he did). I probably won't text him.
But I feel really flattered and very surprised at what just happened today!! Just thought I'd share. Feel free to add similar stories of your own

Did he make a good impression on you? Would you think about sending him a text and seeing where it takes you?
I've had something like that happen when I was younger a couple of times. Both instances I was creeped out, mainly because the dudes were actually creepy and I wasn't single anyway!

I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he downed a cup of courage to ask you, rather than him being a sleaze or anything, so I'd text him

You haven't got anything to lose!
You can always change your number if he becomes a psycho/looney.
Then again... You could get a special
Phone just for booty calls and keep your real number safe until you are sure.

Go on text him. Even just to say thank you and how flattered you were, and then see what seems like.
It really could be your prince charming
