    Default How long after a bloody show did you go into labour?

    I'm 39 weeks today. Was up vomiting and with the runs for half the night, and about an hour ago went to the loo and wiped away a fair amount of bloody mucus (and just did again).

    I've had very light cramps but haven't really been keeping an eye on them yet because they're not bothering me and they're not close enough to even think about.

    But was just wondering if I should expect movement at the station soon or is it one of those things that could still mean labour is a while away?

    Also, is the mucus plug the same as a show, or are they different

    They're the same with my first it was a few days before my water broke. With my second I lost part of it at 34 was then all of it at the start of labour so about 2-3 hrs before the birth!

    Ohh, sounds promising! I'd say within a few days you might be in labour, if not the next 48 hours.

    With DD I had a show at 37w3d then went into labour at 38w1d.

    I lost my plug over a few days (overdue). The last lot was on a friday, he was born on sunday. There was no blood in it though, from what I have heard bloody tinged means labour is more imminent, so I'd guess about 2days. Good luck
