Some kind considerate person parked so close to my car that I couldn't get between the cars to even consider opening the door. I hurt d's leg when I climb through the car.

The brand- new, barely ridden bikes my boys got for Christmas were stolen last night, along with a motorbike df had been doing up for them. Judging by footprints we think its a father and aprox 5 y/o son. Great life lesson there.

Also, df just got a call from his mum before. The mum who rarely visits and invests time and money into her other kids apart from df and sil1. Well, she has a flat tyre. Not much df can do since she lives over an hour away, right? Wrong! She is here in our town, obvs on her way home from a sneaky visit with sil1. Didn't call us. Didn't want to see our kids. We're not good enough to visit, but she'll call df when she needs a tyre changed?! What the actual truck?!

Got stuffed around this morning trying to get the car-seat installed. We were booked in for 8.30am & when we go there the gates were locked & no-one was around. Eventually got someone's attention & they had someone come out to us - they said the guy wasn't there & they had no idea where he was. Many phone-calls etc later it turned out the guy was sick & hadn't notified anyone and that there was another guy on his way but wouldn't arrive for an hour & a half! So after already waiting there for an hour we went home to do some other things & then DH just had to go back again to try & get the seat installed.

When someone finally did ring us (as we were leaving) she said that she could reschedule till 2.50pm today or put us in tomorrow. I told her that wasn't an option as my husband had taken the morning off work for this & could not take the whole day off or take time off tomorrow. She wasn't very accomodating or helpful & said 'well I guess you can come back at 10.30am but you will have to wait'. That doesn't really seem fair, we were booked in a 8.30am. Why should we now have to wait after we've already been stuffed around?

I couldn't go back cause I was getting so stressed about it so DH went alone but he is under strict instructions to be assertive & to tell them that he is NOT waiting until 2.50pm (when the next available appointment is).

This is ridiculous! I'm due in two weeks & at this point we don't have a car seat installed! I understand people get sick but it's common courtesy to ring people & reschedule, that's really not that hard!! DH will do it himself if he has to but given he has never done it before we would rather a professional put it in for us.
