oh my god why is it so hard to get a new bank card?? Supposedly my old one is about to expire so they sent me a new one. First of all the letter didn't make it clear which card it was replacing, as I have a couple. I only got the letter yesterday & didn't get a chance to activate the card last night. I went out today & tried to use my old one & it wouldn't work, it kept saying 'cancelled'. So I had no access to my money & barely had enough cash to put on my public transport card to get home. So when I got home I called the bank & they denied that the old one had been cancelled, they said it was fine.

Then I spent 20 minutes searching their website for the 'activate card' link & still couldn't find it & had to call DH at work to ask him how to do it.

Really should not be that hard........

Watching a lady get onto the bus with a pram & struggling cause it was crowded, people were getting in the way of the stroller, the bus driver had to tell people to move out of the pram/wheelchair seats, the baby was screaming & then getting dirty looks for breastfeeding on the bus. And thinking that will be me soon

I hate having a driving phobia, especially cause so many people are so selfish & self-absorbed & couldnt care less about anyone else.....

I really wanted a frozen coke today when I filled up with petrol but the machine was broken and I had to pay an exorbitant about for 2L of milk at the servo as I didn't have time to go to the shops before work.

What did you say to them?
If you are specifying that under no circumstance should he be left to over sleep and they continue ignoring your request, you have every right to let rip.
I'm angry just reading that as you've mentioned it before and they sound like they just don't care. Put your foot down, you shouldn't have to tell them more than once- you're paying them to look after your son and they need to abide by your rules. It's not too much to ask to wake him earlier, I've worked in childcare and we were often asked to wake children so they didn't over sleep.

Sorry, been distracted by the budget thread!

To be fair they had a lot of relief workers today, but a regular was very apologetic. I might have a quick chat to the director tomorrow. Otherwise they are amazing and they love my boy to pieces, so I don't want to make their life too difficult...

14 months later and I'm still grieving the fact that since my daughter was born, I no longer have a legitimate excuse (i.e. A beach ball in the way) for hubby to cut my toenails.

You can get them to do that? I'm getting on that train!
