    Haha

    Not so lucky here!

When I got married I had the sequenced leg of mutton sleeves, the 'deluxe'hoop underneath, the longggg train that tied up above your bum area with little bows, the big sequenced bow at the back, the three tiered veil, the big big big hair with a teased permed fringe, bridesmaids had the emerald green taffeta dresses with big hair and garnish makeup. We were all quite an over the top sight!

Although the wedding ended in divorce I still snicker heartily over the under lock and key pictures.

    Themed party = awesome
    Themed wedding = tacky

Regardless of the theme, I just find themed weddings to be regrettable.

Umm.. you can't not share a photo now!

Someone I know showed me her 80s wedding photos and her dress was all in white leather. I wish I had a photo.

I know a lot of people think this, but I honestly couldn't give a ****. I don't take myself seriously enough to care tbh, and if my invitees did, well I'd hope they didn't come.

I'd love it! We went to a medieval themed wedding when I was 39 weeks preg, it was awesome!
80's is really not difficult to dress for at all, any OP shop, $10 and bob's your uncle much simpler than finding something medieval to drape over my whale like self
In all seriousness, many people will buy an outfit to wear to a wedding anyway, this would be much cheaper than a new frock from myer iykwim. And many outfits could be adapted to be eighties with some shoulder pads and the right hair and makeup. I say go for it!
