    12 November 2013

My name is Shida. I am a midwife completing a Masters in Clinical Midwifery at Monash University, which includes undertaking a small research project.

The aim of my project is to explore the experiences of women when advised to limit weight gain during pregnancy.

If you are interested in this study, I would like to invite you to share your experiences of interacting with your maternity caregivers during your pregnancy and childbirth. Your story will assist me to understand your experience for the purpose of informing the way maternity care providers interact with pregnant women in this situation.

You must be 18 years old and over, speak English fluently, have given birth to your baby and your BMI was considered equal to or more than 25 in your first antenatal visit.

Your participation will be totally voluntary, anonymous and highly valued. The interview will be conducted on the phone and will be recorded by a voice recorder. It will take approximately 60 minutes and no personal details will be recorded.

For further information regarding participating in this research please do not hesitate to contact me via email address sdia6@student.monash.edu
