Hill View Physio in Midland do ultrasound too, it really helped my nipple damage... http://www.hillviewphysio.com.au/contact.shtml

Also Swan Districts have Physio but you have to get referral to see them, and en the treatment is free.

It sounds like a bleb (blockage) to me, the swelling is probably backed up milk... Hope it gets better soon

It feels ok when it has been rested. Ds sometimes feeds quite regularily whivh I put down to low supply. I have tried heat then expressing from that side but nothing comes out rrom that spot. I had forgotten about the physio in midland, I will try physio see if that helps. I am feeding from that side now and no pain like before, although the spot is there and looked swollen. The vit e sounds like a good idea too. I think sometimes it looks and feels worse from rubbing on my pjs or on the breast pads.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

If rubbing is making it worse you can get a shield thing to wear inside your clothes that has a cage sort of thing over the nipple so nothing is in contact.

Thanks. I will look around for for one.

I seem to be able to express through that spot this morning too so perhaps when I cleared the skin last night I got it all.
