I'm currently 10 weeks today and had 10 days of brown spotting from about 5-6 weeks. Pregnancy is still going good but I did rest up.
However earlier in the year I was pregnant and mc, I had brown spotting from 4 days before my BFP and over the week it got worse leading to the mc. At that time resting did nothing it just got worse.
The biggest difference was that I never got any cramps at all this time.

I had lots of brown spotting with my first pregnancy, it was my first sign and also leaked fluid a lot. This pregnancy no spotting at all.
I've never had brown spotting before my period though.
It's definitely a good sign! I think it must be the implantation spotting. Good luck!

I had bleeding for 5 days in weeks 10 and 11, I had a perfect healthy daughter on Friday from that same pregnancy!
Bleeding is more common than you think particularly in the first trimester.
While the bleeding is old (brown) blood or a light flow, try not to worry.

Brown is meant to be old blood isn't it? So just left over

At 5 -6 weeks pregnant I had brown spotting for 2 weeks. At one stage it was quite heavy and I went to hospital thinking it was definitely a miscarriage.
That was 2.5 years ago and I went on to have a healthy BIG baby boy who just spat bannana on my vacuum cleaner lol
I can't definitely say you are fine but at the time I got a lot of posts from women who had the same thing and were fine. It can just be the left over blood from implanting or it can be a small blood blister popping where the baby implanted (that's what is was for me called a sub chronic haematoma if you want to google it)
Definitely a good sign it is brown as that is old blood...
