Default First period after d&c. Is this normal?

    ***TMI WARNING***

So I had my d&c about 15 weeks ago. During this time I found out there was some tissue left behind and I chose to wait and see if it would pass with my first period.

My period finally arrived about a week ago but within the last hour I've passed about 5 golf ball sized clots. Is this normal? Should I be worried? I expected something because I was told I had about 1cm of tissue left behind but I didn't expect this much.

Would love to hear if anyone has ever been in a similar situation.

Sorry u experienced a D&C OP, I can't help u as after I had my one-I had no bleeding for about 5 weeks n then my periods have been mainly light n short which is unusual for me

I do know from others experience that it's quite normal to bleed a lot with tissue left behind because it's ur body's natural way to try n flush it out. It's not normal if u have a temperature with the heavy bleeding though.

    Hope it passes quickly x

Thanks Chillies. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss also. It seems a bit more "normal" today. No massive clots so far. I'll just keep an eye on it and call the doc if I get concerned again. Good to know my body is doing something right!
